People can choose to become informed, you can choose to look at facts, you can choose to think

Or you can let some biased authored with his own opinion / agenda tell you what to think

The choice is yours

Thanks for posting these tables Willie......

The left wing liberals have the media on their side Willie, they control 95% of what's on TV.......but with the internet, You Tube, etc......you can actually post facts. The (FNM), fake news media have a narrative & won't change course on this.

these numbers are all that matter...5 years and forward...no one will ever care about number of infections or number tested.

the ones who even care now and want to prolong this for other reasons are on opposite ends of the spectrum...they are either well off...or they are unproductive...and these people will suffer even more in the long run. (both selfish perspectives and will reap what they sew...helps me sleep better at night knowing this)

So basically 500 people die from pneumonia per day, 100 from flu per day ( before corona virus)

Coronavirus about 2000 people per day with lockdown-- would easily double without it

4500 seems fair without stay at home orders

Maybe we would have gotten by without shutting down the economy if we isolated and provided necessary resources for those over 65 (75% of all deaths) instead of trying to impact the behavior of 330m across the US. You can't second guess actions early in the process, but now you have plenty of data to understand the extreme lack of balance and focus in containment versus maintaining an economy that supports the majority of all Americans. The victim profile identified from the rest of the world (over 60 with at least three underlying conditions) has held true. We implemented the same tactics for every person in the US. Time to tie what we learned to action.

I see deaths, but nowhere near the numbers like keeping them to 200,000 would be a success, and this was after shutdown orders

I see deaths from other causes, like 60,000 pneumonia deaths that happen every year that never lead to the panic that was sold this year

Not listed, but I know deaths from other diseases and addictions, heart and opioid, that kill more Americans every year and we do so much less. Again, no panic

I see deaths that impact higher risk demographics to a much higher degree, something I seemed to know from day 1. It was out there already, after all this is a bug. Even looking at those demographics, it's people with other illnesses that die far more often (not listed). This data strongly suggests we can focus more so on protecting certain people.

I see a concentration of deaths, with the greater NYC area being far and away the worse. Strongly suggesting the whole country doesn't need to be shut down.

We also know a lot more people have been inflicted that were asymptomatic, which reduces the death rate much closer to seasonal flu death rates

Those are facts

I'm figuring they're combining columns. I can only assume this magic 50k number perhaps is Corona virus deaths + People with Pneumonia and Coronavirus (it still doesn't look like it would get to 50k since the end date of the report is just 8 days ago). So basically, they're fudging the numbers. But maybe one of the Useful Idiots that are claiming the 50k can explain it using the charts. I'll wait and see if they chime in or if suddenly they turn into crickets (since we know they read everything here).

Governor Abbott is having a press conference on more re-openings tomorrow so hopefully he's just looking at these numbers and not wasting his time with the media, youtube videos, op-eds, and the like, like the Useful Idiots do. It's clear not many states in the country are like New York in their geographic configuration so we shouldn't need to all play by the same rules.

this was the most recent data available on the CDC website last night and it was for the period 2/1/2020 through 4/18/2020. I know last week was by far the worst week, the peak week, so when the chart is released through 4/25/2020 the Covid-19 deaths will surge

yet still, none of the arguments I'm making will change

I think it's probable Covid-19 death will exceed pneumonia this year, and probably this year only

Other leading causes of death

Heart disease 650,000
Drug overdose 70,000
Opioids only 50,000
Car accidents 40,000
Swimming 4,000

It’s pretty frequent now in my travels and talking with people that own businesses that they all are a little suspicious of total shutdown and the economy

And this is from people that were allowed to stay open and business has grown / profited from this

How can we sticky this thread?

The main thing I wanna see coming out of this is if we didnt add to our daily or yearly death count......that will be the time when even the uneducated sheep with believe we have been hoodwinked
